Kimberly Cameron is the Executive Director of the NC A&T Real Estate Foundation, Inc. The NC A&T Real Estate Foundation’s vision is to develop a world-class community for a world-class university using real estate development as a tool for community and economic development that fosters healthy growth of the NC A&T State University community. Since joining the Real Estate Foundation five years ago, Kim has grown its assets from $38 million to $275 million and doubling the staff.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kim moved to Durham, NC from Atlanta in 2013. Ms. Cameron was the first Black Woman to receive a BS in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin and went on to obtain her MBA-Finance from Concordia University Wisconsin. Kim has over thirty years’ experience in real estate and community development. She has worked on projects that served as a catalyst for the revitalization of neighborhoods in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, Durham and Greensboro, NC. Kim believes in order to create healthy communities, there must be a strong connectivity between schools, businesses and municipalities to ensure a continuity of services to residents.
Kim is serves as the Chair of the Durham Planning Commission, Chair of the Greensboro MWBE Advisory Committee, Southern Area Rep to The Links Foundation, Vice President of the Board for Preservation Greensboro and the Immediate Past Chapter president of Piedmont Triad Commercial Real Estate Women (PTCREW). She also holds board membership on Piedmont Business Capital Fund and the Greensboro Truist Community Advisory Board. Kim also enjoys jewelry making, reading and spending time with her 15-year old daughter Brooke.
