Our Mission Statement & Core Values
In North Carolina, we cover over 250,000 Medicaid members and over 140,000 Marketplace members through Ambetter of North Carolina Inc. In 2024, Carolina Complete Health will be a part of the launch of Tailored Plans for over 30,000 North Carolinians with mental health needs, substance use disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DDs) or traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).
Our History & Background
Carolina Complete Health is a provider-led health insurance plan founded on the belief that physicians should have a leadership role in developing policies and priorities to ensure they are in the best interest of patients and providers. We were established through an innovative partnership between the Centene Corporation, the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS), the North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA). Centene is the largest government-sponsored health insurance organization in the United States, covering over 26 million members across 50 states.
Our Current Projects & Mental Health Initiatives
Behavioral Health Telemedicine Visits
Carolina Complete Health provides the use of telemedicine at no cost to our members, through our partner Teladoc. We have seen an expanded use of this service by our members for behavioral health related appointments. This service provides increased accessibility to members by reducing barriers such as schedule conflicts, travel time, and childcare services. Additionally, telemedicine helping promote regular appointments and enhances member privacy as the meetings take place in the comfort of their home.
myStrength – Mental Wellness Mobile App
myStrength is an online tool and mobile app available to both our members and employees to provide support for stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and more. The app is safe, secure and personalized and allows users to track your health, enjoy activities, and become inspired.
