PhotoVOICE participants

Through its ParentVOICE program, MHA’s certified family partners work with families of children with emotional, behavioral and mental health issues, helping them navigate the educational, judicial and other systems. Each quarter, MHA holds PhotoVOICE workshops with area youth. The agency is also working to train as many as it can each year in Mental Health First Aid and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Trainings, helping to reduce the stigma around mental illness. MHA also serves as an Information & Referral resource in the community. Advocacy works includes systemic advocacy and working with parents and individuals so that they can advocate for themselves.
