About: NAMI Orange County has provided free psychoeducation classes, support groups, public education programs and a warm line for more than two decades to Orange, Chatham and Person County residents. An all-volunteer organization of people and family with the lived experience of mental illness work together to share the knowledge, research, resources, and hope that comes with knowing treatment works.

Mission: The mission of National Alliance on Mental Illness Orange County NC, Inc., is to provide support, education and advocacy on behalf of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

The vision of NAMI Orange County NC is to improve the wellness and quality of life of all persons affected by mental illness and eliminate the stigma of mental illness.

Current Projects:
NAMI Basics: Caring for You, Your Family and Your Child a free 6 session course for parents and grandparents of a child or adolescent experiencing significant emotional and/or behavioral challenges begins Saturdays, March 9th. NAMI Orange Public Education Series: Tuesday, March 26th, Chapel Hill Library, 6:30 p.m. “In Our Own Voice” presenters will share their personal stories of recovery.
