Our Mission Statement & Core Values

Trillium Health Resources transform lives and build community well-being through partnership and proven solutions.

Trillium staff participated in “Let’s Chalk about Mental Health” in fall 2019. We used sidewalk chalk to share messages of hope and solidarity prior to Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Our History & Background

Trillium Health Resources is an innovative health plan for individuals with serious behavioral health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and traumatic brain injury in 46 counties (effective Feb. 1, 2024) in North Carolina. Through contracts with NCDHHS, we serve Medicaid members on NC Medicaid Direct, state-funded recipients who are uninsured, and members on the Innovations Waiver. We take an integrated approach to health and wellbeing, coordinating care across multiple systems to achieve improved health outcomes, quality of care and efficient use of resources. Trillium is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of the individuals and communities we serve. We remain focused on delivering the right services, in the right amount, at the right time.

We service Eastern North Carolina (26 counties)
Trillium hosted a staff launch to announce Project Outreach. Trillium will work with agencies and providers to educate the community on the specific issues that affect youth who are lesbians, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ).
